Takeaway food generates an enormous amount of waste, with customers repeatedly receiving disposable containers that are thrown away after a single use. The goal of this project is to transform the delivery and takeaway system by incorporating a circular packaging management approach, reducing waste and promoting sustainability.

The process began with surveys, interviews, and benchmarking to define the logistics of the system. After several iterations, the final service blueprint was established. The next phase involved designing both the physical and digital products, refining them through multiple iterations and user testing. Once tested and optimized, the project was finalized.

The outcome is a circular, returnable, and reusable packaging system for delivery and takeaway. Stations are placed throughout the city for users to return their containers via the app. After sanitation, the containers are redistributed to restaurants, ensuring a sustainable cycle of reuse.
